From the blood-splattering zombie apocalypse MultiPop™ debut, to a cute and cuddly feline universe called Kitty POPpins, you cannot accuse AvatarUX of being one-tracked in choice of themes at least. The MultiPop feature is a relatively new innovation from this developer, who is mostly known for their never-ending PopWins mechanic series. It provides random position multipliers per spin in all stages, and these increase by +1 per tumble win they are involved in.
The MultiPop multipliers were capped at x5 (or x10 in the FS round) in the first game, Zombie aPOPalypse MultiPop, but this is no longer the case in this follow-up. In addition, you get 3 unique and randomly triggered King Cat modifiers in all stages, and they are enhanced in the bonus round. You can get up to a 5×9 sized grid with 59,049 win ways in the top-tier FS feature, and the max win is still a solid20,000x your stake.
You can turn on theAnte Betvia the Bonus/Feature Buy menu (not UK), and paying25 % extra per spindoubles your bonus round chances. The symbols pay between 0.5 to 2 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and there are no wild symbols in this game. Winning symbols are removed via theTumble mechanic, and this means that new and/or existing symbols drop down to fill the gaps. This can lead to indefinite tumble sequences as long as you keep winning.
TheMultiPop featureadds random multipliers to random positions per spin, and these position multipliers apply to each tumble win. What’s more, added symbols in the tumble win feature increase the involved position multipliers progressively by +1 each time.
TheKing Cat featurecan trigger at random times, and it gives you1 of 3 modifiersas follows:
TheBonus Roundtriggers when you land at least3 scattersanywhere in view, and here is an overview of what you can expect:
Besides the grid size increase, the difference from the base game is that theKing Cat featuresare enhanced as follows:
TheXpress Bonus Buy menuis available in some jurisdictions, but not in the UK for sure. You can get a King Cat feature on every spin if you’re willing to pay 7.5x your regular stake, and you can also pay75x, 200x, or 500x your stakefor5, 8, or 12 free spins, respectively. The Max FS option costs1,000x your stake, and it gives you15 free spinson a maxed out grid with 9 rows, as well as a King Cat feature on every spin.
You get to see some decent MultiPop wins in the base game, before we purchase the Max Bonus Round at 1:13 into the 4:50-minute highlights video. This gave us 15 free spins with 59,049 win ways on the 5×9 grid, and you can see for yourself how we fared by hitting the play button below.
It’s probably a good idea to make this second MultiPop installment appeal to a very different crowd than the horror debut, Zombie aPOPalypse MultiPop. That being said, the awkward pause between base game spins issue has yet to be resolved. The good news is that the position multipliers are not capped at x5 in this follow-up, and this means that larger payouts can come out of the blue also in the base game. We are still waiting for the MultiPop concept to be paired with AvatarUX’ notorious PopWins mechanic, however, as this is not the case in this game either.
At least they have 2 different core features to play with now, instead of just one, and we are sure the two will collide to spawn a brand new universe at some point in the future. The King Cat modifiers come in handy at times, and they are even more effective in the bonus round. The Max FS round with a new modifier per spin is only available via the Bonus Buy menu, however, and thus not for all players. The20,000x potentialhas not been changed since the first game, and we prefer the zombie theme to the feline theme to be honest. However, Kitty POPpins is still a highly enjoyable release, but we really hope the pace issue is amended soon.
Pros
Cons
AvatarUX is known for their diverse range of themes, from the blood-splattering zombie apocalypse in MultiPop™ debut, to the cute and cuddly feline universe of Kitty POPpins. This developer is not limited to one choice of themes. The MultiPop feature, a new innovation from AvatarUX, provides random position multipliers per spin in all stages, increasing by +1 per tumble win. In the first game, Zombie aPOPalypse MultiPop, the MultiPop multipliers were capped at x5 (or x10 in the FS round), but this is not the case in this follow-up. Additionally, there are 3 unique and randomly triggered King Cat modifiers in all stages, enhanced in the bonus round. The top-tier FS feature offers a 5×9 sized grid with 59,049 win ways, and the max win is still 20,000x your stake. By turning on the Ante Bet via the Bonus/Feature Buy menu (not UK), you can pay 25% extra per spin to double your bonus round chances. Symbol payouts range from 0.5 to 2x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and there are no wild symbols. The Tumble mechanic removes winning symbols and drops new and/or existing symbols to fill the gaps, allowing for indefinite tumble sequences with continuous wins. The MultiPop feature adds random multipliers to random positions per spin, applying to each tumble win. The King Cat feature triggers randomly and offers 1 of 3 modifiers. The Bonus Round is triggered by landing at least 3 scatters and features an increased grid size and enhanced King Cat features. The Xpress Bonus Buy menu is available in some jurisdictions, offering a King Cat feature on every spin for 7.5x your regular stake, as well as the option to buy free spins at varying costs. The Max FS option costs 1,000x your stake and provides 15 free spins on a maxed out grid with a King Cat feature on every spin. The highlights video showcases MultiPop wins in the base game before purchasing the Max Bonus Round. The second MultiPop installment aims to appeal to a different crowd than the horror debut, Zombie aPOPalypse MultiPop. However, the awkward pause between base game spins issue still persists. The uncapped position multipliers in this follow-up allow for larger payouts in the base game. While the MultiPop concept has yet to be paired with AvatarUX’ PopWins mechanic, the game still offers 2 core features. The King Cat modifiers are useful, especially in the bonus round. The Max FS round with a new modifier per spin is only available through the Bonus Buy menu. The 20,000x potential remains the same as the first game, and personal preference may favor the zombie theme over the feline theme. Nonetheless, Kitty POPpins is an enjoyable release, and improvements to the pace are eagerly awaited. Pros include the diverse themes and the increased position multipliers, while cons include the unresolved pace issue and the lack of PopWins mechanic integration.
