Developer Blueprint keeps updating its popular Diamond Mine title, and the next step in its evolution is Diamond Mine Boost Megaways, designed to significantly speed up the gameplay process. Apart from the Boost Mode, everything remained untouched, and it’s exactly the same game with familiar features, stats, and prizes.
The Diamond Mine Boost Megaways slot looks identically to its older brothers, except for one major detail – there’s no reel set. Well, there is one but not visible, as the game is played in a super-fast mode where you see only results of the spins, not spins themselves. The slot makes use of the standard Megaways format and the actions take place across a6-reel setupand ahorizontal upper 4-positon reelabove the main grid. In true Megaways fashion, the number of symbols in each reel, which can be from 2 to 7, is determined at random at the beginning of each spin, and therefore the number of paylines is also random, varying between364 and 117,649.
To start playing, you simply have to select the number of spins and the preferred bet level. You can choose from10 to 1,000 spins, and the stakes vary from£0.2 to £10 per spin. The math model here is similar to those found in the previous Diamond Mine slots. Thevolatility is high, and the RTP is solid at96.43%, which is above the average level. You can win up to50,000x the stakeon a single spin, or£250,000, whichever comes first.
Although you can’t see the symbols in play, we’ll quickly walk you through the paytable if you are not acquainted with one. All symbols pay from two-of-a-kind and more, with the exception of the top-paying diamond, which needs only two. It’s followed by gold diggers, lanterns, and pickaxes and shovels, which altogether make up the premium symbol lot. Next are six low-paying symbols, represented by classic A-9 royals. Six-of-a-kind low symbol wins are worth from0.8x to 1.75x the stake, while premiums pay from2x to 50x the stake. Finally, the dynamite symbol is Wild, and it substitutes for any other regular symbols, though, it can only appear on the horizontal top tracker.
Central to the gameplay is theCascading Winsfeature, which is available at any stage of the game, though, once again, you don’t see the entire spin process. Whenever you score a payout, the feature comes into play to remove all winning symbols from the reels. Then, the remaining symbols drop down into empty spaces as well as new ones tumble down onto the reels. The cascades continue until there are no new possible winning combinations.
Look out for TNT barrels that areMystery Symbols, which can appear both in the base and the bonus games. After they land, theytransform into the same randomly chosen symbol, except the Scatter.
Everything gets back to normal in theFree Spins, where the Boost Mode turns off. The sack of gold is a Scatter symbol, and it can appear anywhere on the grid except the horizontal top reel. Whenever 4 instances land simultaneously in view, the Free Spins round is triggered, and players receive12 spinsto start. Moreover, each additional triggering Scatter awards+5 extra spins.
Once in, theprogressive Multiplierbecomes available. It starts at 1x andgrows by +1 with each cascadewith no limits, and all wins scored during the Free Spins feature are multiplied by the progressive Multiplier value. Finally, retriggers are possible, and landing 3 or 4 Scatter symbols on the top tracker above the reels awards+5 or +10 additional free games.
All up, there’s not much to add about Diamond Mine Boost Megaways since we’ve already reviewed the original game before. It’s basically the same classicDiamond Mine Megawaysmachine, but with a much more dynamic and fast-paced gameplay. Overall, nothing has changed, but players who find all the animations and spinning action a chore they have to sit around should certainly appreciate Blueprint’s effort.
