WithCrystal Wolf Infinity Reelsstill fresh in mind, Boomerang Studios comes out with a Hold & Respin version called Crystal Wolf Lightning Chase. It’s part of the Lightning Chase series, as you probably understand, and you get the same crystal animal symbols as you might remember from the reel-adding predecessor.
The base game revolves around the Cash Collect system, and the collect symbol comes with an x2 multiplier that boosts all collected cash prizes. The golden collect symbol comes with an x5 multiplier in the Hold & Respin bonus round, and you can also place Side Strike side bets in some jurisdictions. The4,711x potentialis decent, and fans of the Lightning Chase concept might enjoy this installment.
The4 premium crystal animal symbolspay between 4 and 8 x your stake for 6 of a kind wins, and thecrystal Wolf symbol is the wild. Wilds step in for pay symbols to help complete wins, and the wild can appear on reels 2 to 6 only.
Coin prize symbolscan appearon reels 2 to 6 also, and these come withprizes between 1x and 25x your stake(a888x coin symbolis also possible).Collect symbolscan landon reel 1 only, and you need a collect symbol in view to collect and win any coin prizes present. What’s more, the collect symbol doubles the value of all the coin prizes it collects.
You need at least6 coin symbolsin view to trigger theHold & Respin feature, and the triggering coin symbols become sticky on an otherwise cleared grid. You start with3 respins, and the tally resets for each new sticky coin symbol you land. Prizes areboosted by either x2 or x5 from 2 different collect symbols(they can appear on all reels during the feature), and they are awarded immediately when a collect symbol appears.
TheSide Strike featureis not available in all jurisdictions, and it’s basically a side bet feature. You will choose a red or green chip, and these appear as overlay icons on regular pay symbols. This can land youprizes up to 5x your stake, depending on which chip type appeared the most in a specific timeframe. TheSide Strike RTPis97.96 %.
We had a decent time testing Crystal Wolf Lightning Chase, but we’re probably not coming back for more. Anyway, we’ve whipped together a brief and edited highlights video for your viewing pleasure as usual, and you can see for yourself how we fared by hitting the play button below.
The crystal animal visual presentation is decent, although similar things have been seen before (not least in Boomerang’s own Crystal Wolf Infinity Reels). There are no Boom+ or Wild+ options to complicate things this time, and the gameplay revolves around the coin collect feature. With coin values up to 888x, anything can happen within certain limits, but keep in mind that the second highest value coin pays “only” 25x your stake.
It helps that the coin collect symbol doubles all prizes though, and the special golden collect symbol even x5 collected coin symbols in the bonus round. This means that up to 4,440x your stake can be won from a single coin symbol, which is close to the overall4,711x win cap. If you enjoy fantasy animal themes and hold & win style features, Crystal Wolf Infinity Reels might be worth a closer look.
Pros
Cons
Crystal Wolf Infinity Reels- is the first-ever infinity mechanic release from Boomerang, and it’s visually similar to the game at hand. A multiplier increases per added reel in the base game, and the hold & win bonus round comes with sticky cash symbols worth up to 50x each.
Wild Esqueleto Lightning Chase- is another installment in Boomerang’s hold & win range, and this one is far more complicated due to the Wild+ and Boom+ ante bet features. You get cash coins up to 888x your stake also here, and Boom+ awards 3 wild features and 3 bonus round options.
Temple Frenzy Lightning Chase- is the second release in the Boomerang Studios series, and this is a jungle-themed installment with 178 Connecta Ways. The 888x cash symbol can land in this game as well, and you get extra wilds in the bonus round. The max win is a solid 17,760x your stake.
