Casper was first seen in children’s books in the 1930’s and later as part of cartoons and an animated series. Casper is a friendly ghost, who instead of haunting people would much rather make friends with them, although being a ghost he would never find it particularly easy. He was also something of an outcast with fellow ghosts, not conforming to the usual ghost persona – these ideas making the books and comics particularly popular. He would eventually make it to the big screen in 1995, a live action movie, where Casper and his wicked uncles (Stinkie, Fatso and Stretch) would be computer animated. Now Casper finally has his own slot, this developed by Blueprint, which sees Casper himself appear as the wild at the slot, this slot based upon the movie depiction of the character. The slot has a slightly different look to many; this due to each of the five reels showing four symbols as opposed to the usual three. The Mystery Mirror comes into play during the free spins round.
As you might expect at a slot featuring a series of ghosts, the game has a slightly spooky air. The reels are set against the backdrop of a forest at night and the soundtrack has something of a horror movie air about it – the piano music building up the atmosphere. The four ghost characters on the reels are drawn in a cartoon style and feature some nice animation when gaining a win – these being joined by the playing card symbols from 9 to Ace, all of these in suitably dark colouring.
