Tomb Of Dead is the third installment in Blueprint’sPower 4 Slots series, where they do a quadruple makeover on popular games in their catalog. First out wasFishin’ Frenzy Power 4 Slots, followed closely by the more relatedEye Of Horus Power 4 Slots. With this release, Blueprint has taken the book of … mechanic to a whole new level, offering the same massive potential as their Megaways book slot,Legacy of Ra.
The biggest twist has thus already been revealed, as the gameplay doesn’t stray far from the standard formula (except for the quad reel set, that is). The base game offers occasional higher payouts due to the4x10 win ways, but, as usual, you need the bonus round with a chosenexpanding symbolif you want to make a proper dent in this game.
Thegolden sarcophagusis thescatter/wild, which means that it will step in for all regular pay symbols. The wild also pays the same as the highest value Explorer symbol, and you win 500x your stake for 5 on a payline. As a scatter symbol however, you win 400x your stake for 5 anywhere on the reels.
You only need 3 instances of the sarcophagus scatter in sight to trigger the bonus round though, and this takes you directly to the Bonus Wheel. A massivewheel of fortunewill spin, and you will getbetween 5 and 10 free spinswithup to 4 reel setsactive during the bonus round.
You are then taken into the tomb where the sarcophagus sits, and a red gemstone displays therandomly chosen symbol. Per usual, this becomes theexpanding symbolduring the free spins feature, and it will expand to fully cover the reel if you land enough to create a win. The chosen symbol does not need to land on adjacent reels to win.
If you didn’t get to play with all 4 reel sets active in the bonus round, you have the possibility of doing something about that. When you land3 scatterson the same reel set, and on the same spin, youactivate another reel set. This can be done until all 4 reel sets are active, which effectively quadruples the game’s potential.
We didn’t run into too much excitement in the base game in our test session. However, the bonus round is triggered at 0:40 into the 2-minute highlights video you can check out below. We got 8 free spins with only 2 reel sets active, and we didn’t manage to unlock any more reel sets. You can see how much we got away with by hitting the play button.
Blueprint is certainly not afraid of taking things to the next level, something their book slot megaways hybrid, Legacy of Ra, more than proved. Tomb Of Dead Power 4 Slots is another monstrosity featuring the ever-popular Book of … mechanic, and it basically quadruples what’s on offer in a regular Ra clone.
This goes for the potential as well, and the announced max win is50,000xyour stake. This would be a total payout from the bonus round, as a single reel set can “only” produce the regular max payout of5,000xyour stake. However, the potential is capped at£250,000either way, which is not unusual for Blueprint games.
Pros
Cons
Eye Of Horus Power 4 Slots- is Blueprint’s quad version in the popular symbol upgrade series. You will benefit from expanding wilds that upgrade symbols chronologically in the bonus round, and this can lead to payouts up to 20,000x your stake.
Book of Leo- is a StakeLogic Ra clone that’s heavily inspired by Lion King. You can choose to play with 1 to 4 reel sets active here, and the bonus round comes with a chosen expanding symbol. The book scatter/wild is sticky, and produces 1 free respin whenever it lands during base game play.
Legacy of Ra Megaways- is Blueprint’s excellent pairing of the Book of … mechanic with the powerful Megaways engine. Play with up to 15,625 win ways, and benefit from a chosen expanding symbol in the bonus round. The max win is 50,000x here too, but with the same £250,000 cap.
