The originalSpin Warriorhardly made a splash in the community, but Boomerang Studios has given it a second attempt with the added Boom Pot system. Spin Warrior Boom Pot is spun around 4 martial art animals, namely a muay thai alligator, a kung fu pig and ditto tiger, as well as nunchucks bear as the top-tier symbol. A few monkey characters have been removed in this follow-up, in other words.
A top reel is situated above the 3 middle reels, and this is where you can land cash coins in the base game. These are collected by Collect symbols on the reel directly underneath, and the big highlight is the Hold & Respin bonus round. It comes with sticky cash coins, and the ever-building Boom Pot prize is won if you manage to fill the grid completely.
The animal character premium symbols pay between 1.25 and 2.5 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and theGong Wildsteps in for pay symbols to help complete wins on reels 2 to 5. Collect symbols appear on the bottom of the 3 middle reels, and these collect Coin prizes on the same reel. The Coin prize symbols appear on the top reel only, and pay between 0.5x and 25x per coin.
TheBoom Potseen above the grid starts at50x your stake, and itincreases by 10 %of the win from the coin collect feature described above. TheHold & Respins featuretriggers when you land3 Collect symbolsat the same time, and you start with3 respins. The tally resets for each new sticky cash coin you land, and they are worth up to 25x per coin. The Boom Pot prize is won if you manage to fill the grid.
TheSide Strike featureis available in some jurisdictions, and it’s a side-bet option that allows you to win extra prizes in the base game. These come from collecting green or red chips that overlay regular symbols as small icons. Simply hit the Side Strike button down to the right, and follow the instructions. The Side Strike RTP is97.96 %.
You get to see a few base game wins, before we land 3 collect symbols at 1:16 into the 3:34-minute highlights video. We’re not gonna reveal up front whether or not we managed to fill the grid, so you’ll have to hit the play button below to check it all out for yourself.
It’s probably safe to say that Spin Warrior Boom Pot is a better game than the original Spin Warrior from 2020, but that’s not really saying too much either. There’s something about the visual presentation that comes across as amateurish and clumsy, and the coin collect feature cannot really lead to significant wins in the base game. The pace of the game was okay though, at least if you double click, and we couldn’t see a turbo option.
The Boom Pot system is not overly exciting either, not least since the pot starts out at only 50x your stake. You’re gonna have to spend a lot of time with this game before the pot increases to a significant amount, if you can even call it that. The win cap clocks in at2,757x your stake, which is mediocre at best, and the95.86 % RTPis a tad below par as well. Fanatic fans of Kung Fu Panda might find some joy in this, but we just didn’t.
Pros
Cons
Spin Warrior- is the original martial art animals release from Boomerang Studios, and it’s a simpler game in most ways. The math model is even weaker though, and all touching symbols win via the 99 connecta ways system. There is also a bonus round, but the win cap is not disclosed as far as we can tell.
Rise of the Valkyrie Splitz- is another installment in Boomerang’s Lightning Chase range, and the 10-spins Splitz cycles awards plenty of splitz symbols that can give you up to 15,552 ways to win. The top-tier coin in the Hold & Respins feature is worth 888x your stake, and the overall max win is 5,000x your stake.
Temple Frenzy Lightning Chase- is the second release in the Boomerang series, and it’s a jungle-themed installment with 178 connecta ways. The Hold & Respins feature comes with a 888x top-tier cash prize symbol, and you get extra wilds in the bonus round. The max win is 17,760x your stake.
