We were hardly impressed by World Match’s Megaways debut,Into The Wilds Megaways, and their follow-up, Fa Fa Spin Megaways, is pretty much the same game wrapped in a very generic and standard asian theme. It’s clearly meant to be played on a smaller screen in portrait mode, just like the first game.
It’s hard to believe that World Match is paying BTG for the Megaways license, only to release two installments in a short timespan that simply cannot compete in the genre. The below-par94.4 % RTPand16,807 maxed out win waysis one thing, but there are hardly any features at all to look forward to. You got wilds and a bonus round with x2 wilds, and that’s it. It begs the question if World Match is even aware of the competition, or why they seem to not care.
The premium symbols pay between 3.15x and 7.5x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and theKoi Fish Wild symbolsteps in for all pay symbols to help complete wins. The Wild holds no value of its own however, and a special wild is introduced in the bonus round. There is no cascading wins mechanic, but you get up to 16,807 win ways per spin.
You trigger the Bonus Round when3, 4 or 5 maneki-neko scattersappear anywhere in view, and this awards8, 12 or 16 free spins, respectively. You also get ascatter win of 2x, 10x or 20x your stakeup front, from 3, 4 or 5 scatters, respectively.Free Spin Wilds(they look like a red carpet with golden ornaments) multiply all wins they are involved with byx2, andwild multipliersare cumulative if more than one is involved in the same win.
You get to see plenty of smaller base game wins, before we finally trigger the bonus round with 3 scatters around the 3-minute mark. The feature plays out for the remainder of the 3:44-minute highlights video, and you can see for yourself how we fared by hitting the play button below.
What can we say? Fa Fa Spin Megaways is pretty much as underwhelming as World Match’s dynamic reels debut, Into The Wilds Megaways, and the generic asian theme isn’t exactly helping if appealing to players in the west is any priority. You get a similar portrait-mode mobile friendly game in most ways, but it looks very small for a Megaways release on larger screens.
You get wilds in the base game, as before, and these become special x2 multiplier wilds in the bonus round. Cascading wins are conspicuously absent in this follow-up installment also, and16,807 win waysis way below average for this engine. Combine that with an overall lack of features and excitement, a very low94.4 % RTPand an undisclosed potential, and you got yourself a game that’s practically begging to be memory-holed as soon as it hits the market.
Pros
Cons
Into The Wilds Megaways- is the Aztec-themed dynamic reels debut from World Match, and it comes with the same mobile friendly layout with up to 16,807 win ways. You get wilds in the base game also here, and x2 multiplier wilds in the bonus round. The max win is undisclosed, but the volatility is low also in this game.
Fa Fa Spin- is the original oriental-themed release from World Match, and it’s pretty much the same game but with 1,024 fixed win ways instead of the dynamic megaways engine. Wilds do their thing in the base game, and come with x2 multipliers in the bonus round, and you can win up to 3,200x your stake with a more decent 95.62 % RTP to boot.
Fa Fa Babies- is a somewhat popular asian-themed release from Red Tiger, and a fortune prize pick game triggers from collected fortune coins. Special lucky envelopes can boost the prizes when they appear, and everything is taken up a notch in the bonus round. The max win is 1,888x your stake.

World Match’s Megaways debut, Into The Wilds Megaways, was not particularly impressive. Their follow-up game, Fa Fa Spin Megaways, is essentially the same game with a generic Asian theme. It is designed for smaller screens in portrait mode, similar to the first game. World Match seems to be paying BTG for the Megaways license, but the two games released in a short period are not competitive in the genre. With below-average RTP and a maximum of 16,807 ways to win, the games lack exciting features. There are only wilds and a bonus round with x2 wilds. The premium symbols offer winnings from 3.15x to 7.5x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, with the Koi Fish Wild symbol stepping in to complete wins. The Bonus Round is triggered with 3, 4, or 5 maneki-neko scatters, awarding 8, 12, or 16 free spins respectively. The Free Spin Wilds multiply wins by x2. The game lacks cascading wins but offers many small base game wins. Fa Fa Spin Megaways is as underwhelming as Into The Wilds Megaways, and the generic Asian theme does not appeal to Western players. The game is mobile-friendly and suitable for portrait mode but seems too small for larger screens. The lack of cascading wins and the low RTP make it less appealing. Into The Wilds Megaways and Fa Fa Spin are similar with up to 16,807 ways to win and x2 multiplier wilds in the bonus round. Fa Fa Spin also offers wilds in the base game and x2 multipliers in the bonus round, with a potential win of up to 3,200x your stake. Fa Fa Babies by Red Tiger is a popular Asian-themed game with a fortune prize pick game triggered by collected fortune coins, and a maximum win of 1,888x your stake.
